Ingredients Required
Curd
Warm milk
Powdered sugar
Elaichi powder
A few saffron strands
Dry Fruit for garnishing (Slivers of pistachios & almonds)
Process
Before you begin the actual process, you need to hang curd for hors. For making shrikhand, hung curd is required. So, take curd in a muslin cloth and hah it for say about four to five hours. Then take this curd for making shrikhand. In a bowl, take curd, sugar and cardamom mixture. Mix well. In another pan, put strands of saffron in two teaspoon of water. Let it leave its color. Add this water into the curd mixture. When the granules of sugar have dissolved in curd, pour into small serving bowls and refrigerate it. The delicious shrikhand is ready to be served for puja as well as for your guests.
